Our Mission

eSewingWorkshop.com is the first Online Video Lesson Library providing an inspirational, supportive environment for all students and hobbyists to learn how to make their own clothing and clothing accessories with confidence. We release new monthly training video lessons to support and encourage all members.

Background

This website is the offspring of
The Sewing Workshop school (providing sewing classes in Toronto) and enables members to train from anywhere in the world, at any time.

eSewing Workshop.com is a one of a kind web site, where you can learn everything you need about sewing and communicate with like minded people.

It is a place where beginners can feel comfortable learning to sew and more advanced students can learn advanced sewing techniques, while using everyday equipment. Our online learning videos will include sewing machine basics, hand sewing, finishing, alterations, pattern making, sewing garments from start to finish, accessories, knitting, handcraft, embroidery, home décor and more.

About Nehzat Houshan

Nehzat has 50+ years sewing and 15 years teaching experience and is the instructor and creator of eSewingWorkshop. She grew up in a family that has been working in the fields of art and fashion; giving her a flaming passion to create throughout her life.

From the young age of five sewing became Nehzat's loved hobby, when she started to create custom clothes for her dolls. At ten years old she began to sew her own garments with the help and guidance of her mother.

Having obtained a bachelor’s degree in fine arts – design and sculpture – in Italy, has given Nehzat the ability to fully understand the human figure when it comes to designing and creating attire.

Her passion for sewing remained throughout Nehzat's life until 1987 when it became her profession. She started sewing custom made Haute Couture for clients in Rome and then in Toronto where she setup her own studio called Exclusive Designs. Now Nehzat wants to pass on her knowledge and experience to others.
