Enlarging patterns

Hi,

I would like to know if enlarging a pattern (example simplicity size 18) to the same outfit but enlarged to a size 20-22 would be a bad idea. Would it take away from the general appearance of the outfit or is it still possible? I have several old patterns that were bought when I was an 18, and I would like to enlarge them to size 20 or 22. Would you show me how, if it is possible.

enlarging patterns

Hi my name is susan and I have patterns for dog outfits, and it gives you the general shape but you have to enlarge it by 180% to make it actually fit the dog. How do I do this?
