Yes, as and educational website, we do our best to provide access to students and educators. We provide discounts for educators and institutions to provide for their students. These discounts will provide (5 users and up) volume discounts of 20% to 50% based on the number of Memberships needed. Please contact us regarding any volume discount you are interested in here.

We have recently added a Photo Album feature to the website. The new Photo Album feature will allow you to easily share your sewing projects with eSewingWorkshop.com’s community and get feedback from members on our Project Photo Albums page located in the top "Community" menu link.

Please try to add images to Photo Albums that are related in some way. For example you could make one Photo Album for a skirt project and another Photo Album for a dress project, each Photo Album can have multiple photos. For example full shots showing the whole garment from multiple angles and close up shots showing details.

To learn how to take great photos of you projects before posting them on eSewingWorkshop, click here. Note: After taking photos with your digital camera transfer them to your computer so you can upload them to an eSewingWorkshop Photo Album. To learn how to transfer your photos from your digital camera to your computer, please read your digital camera's manual.

You can upload photos of any size and larger photos will look better. Our website will scale the photo automatically to fit the screen. If you are experiencing any difficulty uploading your sewing project photos or have questions, please email us your username, photos and a project description of the Photo Album to info@eSewingWorkshop.com and we will create the Photo Album for you.

To create a new Photo Album, follow the below instructions:

1. Log into your account by clicking here.
2. Click on the “My Profile + Account” link at the top right of the page.
3. Click on the “Create a Photo Album” link on the right side of the page.
4. Name the “Photo Album” and enter an optional “Description” with some details.
5. Then click the "Save" button, at the bottom of the page.
6. Click on the “Upload Images” tab at the top to select images on your computer.
7. Click on the below "Browse" buttons. Note: add one image per "Browse" button.
8. After you have Browsed and selected images, click on the below "Submit Images" button.
   Note: it might take up to a few minutes to upload your images, depending on the image file sizes.
9. Once images have been uploaded. Browse down and add a “Photo Title” and “Description” for each uploaded image to replace the default file name that might be something like “image.jpg”.
10. Select which image you would like to be on the cover of this Photo Album by clicking on one circle to the right.
11. Then click the below "Save" button. Repeat the process to add more Photo Albums.

To view or add Photos in your Photo Albums, follow the below instructions:

1. Log into your account by clicking here.
2. Click on the “My Profile + Account” link at the top right of the page.
3. Click on the "Photos" tab at the top of the page.
4. One this page you will see all Photos and Photo Albums uploaded by you.
   Note: If you don't see any photos, it's because none have been added by you yet.
5. If you click on a cover thumbnail in the box on the right labeled "Photo Albums" you will be able to upload more photos by clicking on the "Upload Images" tab at the top.

To comment on a Photo Album or a Photo inside a Photo Album, 
follow the below instructions:

You can add comments to both Photo Albums and individual Photos inside an Album.

1. Log into your account by clicking here.
2. Hover your mouse over the "Community" top navigation link.
3. Click on "Member Project Photo Albums" link from the drop down menu.
4. Click on a Photo Album cover then at the bottom of the page, click on the "Add new comment" link and enter a comment, then click on "Preview", then " Save" buttons.
5. To add a comment to a specific Photo in a Photo Album, click on a Photo thumbnail inside a Photo Album then click on the "Add new comment" link under the full size image at the bottom of the page and enter a comment, then click on "Preview", then " Save" buttons.

To delete a Photo inside an Album, follow the below instructions:

1. Log into your account by clicking here.
2. Click on the “My Profile + Account” link at the top right of the page.
3. Click on the "Photos" tab at the top of the page.
4. On this page you will see all Photos on the left and Photo Albums on the right..
5. Click on a Photo in the left box.
6. Click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the new page.
7. Click on the "Delete" button at the bottom of the page.
8. Then confirm the action by clicking on the "Delete" button.

To delete a Photo Album, follow the below instructions:

1. Log into your account by clicking here.
2. Click on the “My Profile + Account” link at the top right of the page.
3. Click on the "Photos" tab at the top of the page.
4. On this page you will see all Photos and Photo Albums uploaded by you.
5. Click on a Photo Album cover image in the right box.
6. Click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the new page.
7. Click on the "Delete" button at the bottom of the page.
8. Then confirm the action by clicking on the "Delete" button.

Here are 5 simple tips to get you on your way to taking better pictures.

1. Get both full and up close shots.
   • This will help your Photo Album have photos of the whole project as well as any details you want to show.
2. Use a plain background.
   • Before taking a picture check what's behind your subject.
   • Lookout for objects sprouting from your subject.
3. Use flash outdoors and indoors.
   • Use the flash setting on the camera to improve your pictures.
   • Use it in bright sunlight to lighten dark shadows under the creases and folds, especially when the sun is directly overhead or behind your subject.
   • Use it on cloudy days, to brighten up subjects and make them stand out from the background.
4. Lock the focus.
   • Lock the focus to create a sharp picture of off-center subjects.
     1. Center the subject.
     2. Press the shutter button half way down.
     3. Re-frame your picture (while still holding the shutter button).
     4. Finish by pressing the shutter button all the way.
5. Watch the light.
   • Great light makes great pictures. Study the effects of light in your pictures.
