Hello,
I was looking for a video that could help me but couldn't find it.
I'm making pants for my mom. She is 81cm in the waiste(TU), 102cm in thighs(HU), which makes her beween sizes 42 and 44 (european sizes)
According to the pants chart I have from college, size 42 is 74cm TU and 102cm HU, while size 44 is78cm TU and 106 HU.
Therefore, I though it easiest to draw one of the sizes, either 42 or 44 (which I already have) and alter them, but I don't know what is best to do?
I would really appreciate your guidance in this cause I've been cracking my brain for the whole week.
Thanks a lot in advance
Dear RKS2012,
If you plan to adjust the standard chart measurements, I suggest you choose the one with the waist circumference closest to your moms. 44 or higher, then you can adjust it.
The other solution is to draft a pattern for your mom using her actual measurements. We have a lesson covering this topic, including how to adjust the pattern for a few different styles and body shapes.
Happy sewing,
Nehzat
