I'm new to this page and also fairly new to sewing. I'm 39yrs old and I've sewn a few things in my life. I made a dress (with my moms coaching) in about the 9th grade. In the 12th grade I made my prom dress (in Home Ec and with the assistance of my teacher). I've never really just sat at the machine and made something on my own and with no assistance.
I'll be moving in about 45-60 days. In my new place I'll be able to set up my sewing room. I'm looking forward to sewing something...many things and I'm sure this page will help me along the way.
I'm hesitant about things like: knowing that symbols on the patterns. I remember once when I was sewing with my mom I had to make a 'french knot'... no clue what that was o_O
Then there'll be symbols for darts and pleats and... Whew! I feel the anxiety building up again...
Anyway... I'm still lookinf forward to jumping into it with both feet. I'm blessed that my mother is still living and very willing to sew with me :-)
I've also just recently created a fan page on facebook. Feel free to Fan me and check out my work. I'll be posting most everything I make when I start sewing.

Un dia dedicado a ayudar a nadie mas que a si mismo es un dia perdido.
