I want to make a cowl back for a friend's wedding gown. She saw one that draped beautifully using only one piece of fabric for the entire bodice back. I know the top of the pattern piece has to be wide so it can drape, but I can't seem to get my head around the way to do the bottom; how to make the bottom from side to side at the waist with the normal waist measurement. Can you help me, please? Thanks!
Dear kaydee,
There are different styles of cowl back garments. Please if you can email or post the picture of the dress you want to sew here. This way I can give you specific directions on how to style your block pattern.
You can email the picture to info@esewingworkshop.com, I will then post the picture here.
Happy sewing,
Nehzat
