Hi im new here and i love to sew i am emboridering a quilt and it calls for a double stem stich and i dont know how to do this one can anyone help plz

Dear mrs_stealth,

Welcome to eSewingWorkshop. A double stem stitch is used when you want to raise your stem stitch from the fabric, to give it more prominence.

To sew a double stem stitch you sew one row of stem stitches then go over and sew once more using the exact same holes that you created with the first row on the fabric.
