OBSERVATIONS
Greetings All,
I watched the video on how to repair a broken zipper and thought it was a good demonstration of it. I then saw a video on Youtube of a woman who has an alterations business out of her home, do a zipper repair on jeans and the contrast was blatant.
1. The Youtuber did it so fast, that she was reckless.
Nehzat was careful.
2. The Youtuber ripped the original stitch line from the zipper flap, and when she sewed it back on, it was messed up, she had to redo it. It didn't look as nice as the original. I know that Nehzat said that some people do that, but their aim should be to get professional results.
Nehzat's were perfect. She was careful to maintain the original stich line, and her results were professional.
3. The Youtuber had a really long zipper, she put a stopper at the bottom, then she cut the video off, we never learned how to get the rest of the zipper off. I suppose you cut if off, but how do you secure the stopper? We never learned that.
Nehzat took the time to get a zipper that was close to the size zipper and took off a few zips. Maintaining the original construction of the zipper stopper.
Overall, I felt that Nehzat's instructions were very professional. She got professional results. It showed me that what I am learning on Nehzat's website is professional ways of sewing. I have found that just because someone has been sewing for 20+ plus years, doesn't mean that they know how to sew with professional results.
I want to be able to put out a product, and the client is very happy with it, that they are willing to pay my price and tell others about me.
Learning from Nehzat, I believe I won't have to relearn how to do something the right way, I will learn the right way, the first time.
