sewing the top of the casing

 Hello Nehzat,

In the chapter “Sewing the Casing of the Dirndl Skirt” video, is stitching the top of the casing for girls' cloths only? I’m asking this because I made pants for my toddler son from knit fabric and used your method to sew the casing. However, after I thread the elastic and sewed the casing closed, the stitches at the top of the casing gave the waist band a pretty wavy look which I think suites girls' cloths better.

 Dear Enas,

The reason why the stitch line along the top of the casing is wavy is that you have used a knitted fabric. If you use a woven fabric you can sew the stitch line on top of the casing for anyone, since it gives a finer finish to the casing.
