I learned to sew in high school, Home Economics, some time ago.  Since then, I haven't really had time to sew up until now.  I have sewn a couple of projects last year.  A cinderella and snow white dress for my 2yr old grand-daughter, a vampire customn for my 13yr old grand-daughter.  I am now working on a shirt for my husband, would like to really master this pattern.  Having difficulty with attaching the collar.  I'm not going to give up but I decided to keep sewing until I am stress free and really enjoy sewing to its fullest.

Re: How to attach a colar to a men's shirt

Dear yoliezzz,

I am happy to hear that you are back to sewing and not giving up. Congratulations on sewing for your grandchildren last Halloween.

A good way to find out how to attach the collar of a men's shirt, is to partially take apart an old shirt at the collar, to see how it has been sewn. This way you can find out which seams where sewn first and how much to trim the seam allowances. This way you will get a good result.

Happy sewing,

Nehzat
