I just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm new to the site, and I'm loving the videos. I have sewed a lot in the past, but I've never managed to sew anything that fit. I've been trying to find classes for years that would help me with that, so I'm excited to use these online lessons.
Right now I'm hesitant to make clothes though because I'm at an in between size. I just had a baby 4 months ago, and I'm nursing. This means my waist and thighs are still a little bigger than normal, and my bust size is a lot bigger. What can I do when sewing and fitting to ensure my clothes will be easy to take in later?
Hi
Glad to hear you are enjoying the website. With regards to your questions about altering clothes that you have sewn to make them fit better after loosing wight, usually when a garment is loose it's easy to make it fit. It is harder to make clothes larger after gaining weight, since the seams may not have enough allowance.
Happy sewing,
Nehzat
