attaching the lower band on a bomber jacket.

Hello Everyone.  My name is Gail and I had not sewn very often since the early 80s'.  I joined my mom in her business in 2006 and have since learned to make most of the items she had sewn, except bomber jackets.  She passed away in 2011, so I can't ask her how she made them.  My problem is attaching the lower band onto the body and facing of the jacket.  Can anyone help me?

 Dear shopperl,

To be able to guide you in the sewing process, can you please draw the bottom corner of the front of the jacket and email it to me, or select a picture from a style that you want to copy from the internet.
