cushion cover/invisible zipper

Hello my name is Doris Lamontagne from Milwaukee Wisconsin, USA.  I am a new subscribing member.

I am in the process of sewing some floral cushion covers.   Since this is a floral design, I am confused as to the placement of the invisible zippers.  Do I sew them on the top. bottom or sides of the cover.

The video is very helpful but I appreciate an urgent answer.

Hi Doris

Thanks. Because the side that the zipper is sewn to may have a different appearance at the seam line, it is always best to place this side down, this way the other three sides that are similar at the seam lines are more prominent.

If the floral pattern has a design that is directional, meaning that there are stems, leaves or flowers facing a certain direction. The best place to sew the zipper would be on the bottom side of the design, since that side will be placed on the sofa or bed.

Invisible zipper placement
