Dress form

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a dress form here, http://myworld.ebay.com/dressformmall/ on e-bay.  This is a company which makes manequin and dress forms for major department.   These are not adjustable dress form like Dritz makes.  But you know so many people complain about those adjustable dress forms not stable, or easy to break!

I think this dress form company is great.  They have oh so many kinds of dress forms.  Just be careful to find the ones pinnable.  Some of them are for display only.   I believe many professionals use the one size smaller dress forms, and adjust the shape by padding, etc. to custermize.

I paid only less than $80 including shipping, and I've got the dress form with hips and thighs to fit for pants.  It also has the hanger at the neck, so I can hang if I choose.

Happy sewing!

dress form

I once saw someone make their own... on tv... it was done too fast for me to catch it all... so I was never able to do it since I had missed the beginning of it... it would be nice to learn how to do your own to your own measurement... she had done it with sticky packing paper that you dip in water like wall paper her name was Angellina DiBello... she has since pass away... I would be very interested in learning on how to do my own

Making your own dress form

 Nehzat,

I would also be very happy to see you do a lesson on making our own dress form. This is something I have been wanting to do very much!

I like this site very much and have learned a lot in the few days that I have been a subscriber. Thank you for providing such easy to follow lessons!

dress form

I bought mine at Jo Ann on line in 2006 for 149.99 (a birthday gift from my husband) It has adjusters to change the size, and works well. It 's called " my double "  deluxe dress form by dritz. At the time it was the most inexpensive dress form I could find, I like it alot.

dress form

I was at Jo Anns fabric and craft the other day and saw a dressform  for 89.99 It is a maroon color.

I bought one at Jo Anns fabric and craft store (on-line) 5 years ago and have adjusted the size with the adjusters many times and it has never broke, it has held up well, you are able to put pants on it easily and abjust the height. I think it is a very nice dressform. Mine is a blue color.

I like Nehzats dressform it is professional but I am not! (yet)
